The Charles Gordon Collection
A legend within the Scotch whisky community, Charles Gordon was fundamental in managing some of the earliest stock laid down for the House of Hazelwood collection and for laying down much of the stock that lies in cask today.
This eponymous collection of rare and old Scotch whiskies represents some of the most remarkable stock held within the inventory - every cask aged for at least fifty years, every bottle with its own story to tell.
1965 Blended Scotch Whisky
Rich notes of marzipan, Dundee cake and leather on the nose followed by pleasing tannin-rich herbal tea on the palate and a cool, minty aftertaste. This is not only one of the world’s first whiskies to be blended at birth, it is also likely to be one of the last, for such practices are now prohibited by the powers that be within Scotch.More Info
1968 Sherry Cask Matured Single Grain Scotch Whisky
Rich, decadent and intense with a resinous quality and dried fruits on the nose followed by roasted coffee and Muscavado toffee notes on the palate. An exceptional, highly unusual release with a character reminiscent of greatly aged malt whisky.More Info
56 Year Old Double Matured Blended Scotch Whisky
A wonderfully evocative oily nose redolent of candle wax, paraffin and Victorian stately homes, all underpinned by the generous decadence of old grain whisky. On the palate it is vibrant, spicy and mouth-coating with notes of cinnamon and a meandering sweet / dry finish.More Info
