Calm Waters

Calm Waters

A marriage of heavier Speyside malts aged in first fill and refill sherry butts has created a whisky that is at once meandering and powerful; carrying great complexity and a finish as long as the Spey itself.

The Finer Details

At the heart of the Speyside region lies the River Spey, connecting some of the world’s greatest whisky distilleries through a series of apparently calm waters that mask great depth and force. Such is the case for this richly aromatic malt whisky. This rare Speyside Blended Malt Whisky is rich and decadent with notes of treacle with an exceptionally long, lingering finish

  • A celebration of the Speyside region
  • Matured in a combination of first and refill Spanish sherry casks
  • Offered at a natural cask strength
  • Free from added colour
  • Non-chill filtered
  • Packaged in a hand-labelled, individually numbered decanter with accompanying gift box.

Nose

Rich and aromatic. Notes of treacle toffee and liquorice on the nose underpinned by a complex herbal influence with flourishes of fennel and linseed.

Palate

The palate brings further weight and depth, a full-bodied mouthfeel and a character that is at once indulgent and intense before meandering towards an exceptionally long, lingering finish.

  • Treacle

  • Toffee

  • LIQUORICE

  • FENNEL
